    This auction is for 1 - 1979 Yamaha YZ 400 MX race bike.  This is a dirt bike and there is no title just a bill of sale will be given.  This bike has been raced in the Grand Prix open & 50+ classes in AHRMA events over the last few years.  The motor got new crank seals in 2012, new heavier shock spring, heavier fork springs, and fork seals last year. This year it got new chain & sprockets and the new rear tire.  The bike has a DG pipe & silencer (I have a stock pipe) and Boysen reeds.  Overall the bike is in very good shape for being 37 years old.  Let me know if you have any questions.  The bike is near Birmingham, Al. and I can bring it to the 9/9/16 AHRMA XC race in Ramsey, Ill.

    Here is the story on this bike: I’m 62 years old.  I retired from my job a few years ago.  I thought that I might try a little post-vintage racing.  My wife and I recently went to a race and, while we were watching, we saw a +70 rider take a dirt nap in the first turn.  My wife turned to me and said, “See that!  You always used to land on your head when you crashed.  I think you’ve had enough concussions from the last time you tried motorcycle racing.” To which I replied, “What’s your name, again?”  (True story)  So, here is my would-be post-vintage racer for sale.   It is a 1979 YZ 250.  I have owned this bike for a number of years, and only ridden up and down my driveway a couple of times (Making the video made three times.).   I put a new piston and ring in it when I got it, and replaced a lot of parts.  It has been sitting in my garage since then.  Here is a partial list of the new parts:  New Fork Seals, New Fork Wipers,  New Front Tire, New Front Fender, New Pro Taper Handlebars, New Front Brake Cable, New Throttle Cable, New Clutch Cable, New Front Brake Lever, New Clutch Lever, New Grips, New Piston and Rings (less than an hour on the new top end), New Front Number Plate, New Side Panels, New Rear Fender,  New Rear Tire, New Air Filter, New Wide Footpegs.  The frame and cases were painted with automotive urethane based paint (it won’t peel off when gas is spilled on it).  Hubs were painted with black enamel.  The bike also has an after-market pipe, and a period correct DG silencer. The wheels are in good condition as is the suspension.  The graphic on the tank is probably as old as the bike and has more wear and ripples than are evident in the photos.    The bike is fast (too fast for me), and ready to race.   (To see the bike running, check out the Youtube video: https://youtu.be/VIS0qvww_iw  Video was taken the day before I listed the bike.)                      As with most bikes this age, there is no title--Bill of Sale only.  Although I have tried to accurately represent this motorcycle, it is almost 40 years old, and I make no guarantees as to performance or durability.  Bike is in Carlton, Oregon (a little south-west of Portland).  Buyer is responsible for shipping.  I will gladly hand the bike over to your shipper at his convenience since I am home most days.

    Unfinished project - 1980 Yamaha YZ 465 Good running old bike, I've had this bike for about 5 years, and I have installed new handlebars, grips, clutch and throttle cable, fork seals, wiseco, 1.0 mm piston kit, folding shifter, oversized foot pegs, clutch extension arm, DG silencer, new rear wheel bearings, new clutch plates, and new air filter, new seat cover,  had O ring chain and good sprockets on it when I bought it. The frame is slightly bent at rear fender mounts and has been welded on some. The bike is no show bike but is mechanically sound.  And I also have a partial 1981 465 to go with it.

    Up for auction is a 1981 Yamaha yz465 I bought this bike 2 months ago with the intension of restoring it but plans have change. The bike is pretty much complete it does not run this is the way I bought the bike and I never did anything with it.  I have some parts that go with it they are pictured.   I have a  Manual, wheel bearings, empty wiseco piston box and small misc parts. The owner before me  bought a plastic kit for it,  and its supposed to have a new piston in the motor I cant confirm but the box is there and it has very good compression.  The rims are straight and the forks have no pitting on the chrome overall the bike is in decent shape for its age.  There is no title for this bike. Payment On pic up or cashiers check that clears before pickup.     Beautifully restored 1982 Yamaha Yz60,  completely dissasembled and redone.  Frame was sandblasted and painted, everything else sandblasted and powder coated.  Matching motor and frame numbers of 5X1-000595, one of the earlier builds.  New front  tire and tube, new rear tire and tube.   New clutch discs and engine oil..  New front sprocket and chain.  Rear sprocket was not available,  current one in great condition, and was  cleaned and powder coated.  New seat cover, new OEM style wicked tough graphics.  New scott handgrips.   Carburator was cleaned with new needle valve installed, new fuel petcock, new gas lines. New fork seals and fork oil.  New  clutch and brake levers. Runs and drives excellent and looks like new.   Plastic all completely sanded down, cleaned and reheated for shine, in great original condition.  Every nut and bolt was cleaned and coated,  it looks like new.   The Yz60 had a very short 3 year run, and are getting very difficult to find,  let alone in this condition..   $500 deposit due within 24 hours of auction end, full payment due within 48 hours of auction end, anything other then that must be talked about ahead of time.  Please do not bid if you do not intend to buy, feel free to ask any and all questions, I will be more then happy to answer them.  International buyers welcome, but full payment due within 24 hours of auction end.  Paypal prefered,  shipping is 100% buyers responsibility, I will be more then happy to help and meet your shipper when picking up.  If shipping takes awhile storage is not a problem after full payment is made.  Bike also for sale locally, seller reserves the right to end auction early.   Sold with bill of sale, no title on off road bikes.  If you have less then 10 positive feedbacks contact me before bidding.  If buy it now is used full payment due immediately.   Please do not bid if you do not intend to go through with the sale,  $500 deposit due within 24 hours, full payment due within 48 hours.     Also willing to listen  to offers On Aug-02-12 at 12:40:19 PDT, seller added the following information: SAVE MONEY ON SHIPPING! uShip is the first and largest auction style marketplace for shipping and transportation services.
