Yamaha YZF-R description

Well here is the Bike that a few knowledgeable Folks out there may well remember. This was a fast bike in 1994 being born a 750R. It came with the wild bright graphics and bright yellow powder coated wheels. There are still People around the World collecting these Bikes. But for me though it was fast I decided to take it a step further. Since the 1000cc Bikes were not available in the USA back in 1994 but were sold as Thundercats in Europe I acquired a Thundercat 1000cc engine. The crankcase is still the 6 speed YZF750R since the Thundercat was a 5 speed. I wanted to keep it a 6 speed so I installed the YZF750 R's gearset since the gearing is outstanding. The Cylinders, pistons, piston rods and Head were all replaced with 1000cc Yamaha Thundercat along with the Crankshaft and exhaust. The engine was rebuilt 5000 miles ago-new 1000cc pistons and bearings gaskets etc done about three years ago and runs perfect. The 750R was fast but now still being a 6 speed 1000R engine it is Really Fast on the 750R frame. Yes the bike can be converted back to the 750R stock form but why?  To add even more it has a 70 hp shot of Nitrous Oxide. Again with the Nitrous it is now insanely fast boosting horsepower well over 230 or so. You can re-jet it to go more I am sure but I think when you hit the button the insane rush of speed you will realize as you blow by about everything else on the road that it is enough. I do not dare hit the nitrous in the first two gears. The bike without the Nitrous without slipping the clutch just rolling the Throttle wide open as you go in first gear will bring the front end up. This bike is Fast and retains the wild 90's look with the graphics. It gets a lot of attention. However you can jet it up for more. Anyway it has a few modifications like the custom rear fiberglass taillight cover with a 2000 era R-1 taillight in it. I have the original 94 taillight that can be reinstalled but I think it really dates the look of the bike so I had the custom cover for the newer taillight made to bolt on. It simply unbolts from inside and the Factory taillight goes back on if you prefer. The original Taillight will go with the sell of the bike. It also has as you can see a shorty performance exhaust and is Loud! They will hear you coming. The original graphics where the purple is were pink. Too much for me so I tamed it down a bit to the purple and blue as you see in the pictures. The bike has a 540 Chain installed with steel sprockets since with the torque it has I kept tearing teeth off the rear sprocket with a 530 chain so I upgraded to the heavier set up which works perfect. It has 4 teeth less then the Factory on the rear for faster take offs. You lose some Top end but really is 175 mph not fast enough? Otherwise go back up the four teeth on the rear and go faster. Of course this Bike in not Governed so yes you can out run the PD and seriously risk killing yourself. This also has new Dynatek Hi performance coils and wires in place. Bike is extremely reliable and a joy to ride. Just raw power. Don't expect good fuel mileage with this one. 110 miles and you are on fumes. This bike I tweaked to simply blow everything off the road with. Yet I drove it on my 58 mile commute three to four days a week. There is also a ground effects lights in blue that are cool to flip on at night. I will take a picture later at night with them on and post it. Again this is a modified Toy to me so please if you are interested understand what you are Buying. It runs very well is ready to ride anywhere but I will not be responsible if you are not a competent rider to handle this Bike and get yourself hurt. It only goes as fast as the rider opens the Throttle but it has scared a good Friend of mine -seasoned rider when the front end went sky hi after he was foolish enough to hit the Nitrous in 1st gear showing off almost flipping it over. Fortunately being a very good rider he kept control. Anyways check pictures. The only reason I am selling this is because it has been ran twice this year since my major Back Surgery and has a full tank of gas and I just do not ride it. Getting older so time to pass it on for someone to have some serious fun with. Not asking for a phenomenal amount of money on this one since it is a 94 but then there are People looking for these earlier YZF R bikes so I set a reasonable Reserve. If it does not meet it I will simply keep it until I get the urge to ride it or just keep starting it up every month and dusting it off. There are the normal wear and rub marks as seen in the pictures. A couple dents in the tank I tried to show but over all the bike is very bright and looks good. Tires are a year old and have good tread. The nitrous switch with the Skull head that arms it is broken you see in the picture left side. I have a new switch and plan to install it before Bike is sold to the New Owner but forgive me if I do not get it done. It has simply three wires to it and is easy to replace. It turns the Nitrous system on arming it. The horn button as long as you hold it down shoots the juice in. This is a "wet" system- not a Fogger. It injects the gasoline and Nitrous Oxide in through jets one for each Carburetor drilled into the intake manifold. The Nitrous System works very well. You can remove it and the nitrous jets easily enough and simply install 1/8 thread plugs into the manifold if you want it off or just take off the bottle for the stock look. If you as the new Owner cannot change a switch perhaps this Bike is not for you. Also has heated grips for cold mornings is the little switch by left grip and I added a digital gear indicator to remind me what gear I was in. And no this bike has never been down. Anyway lets see if there is any interest in this machine so Happy Bidding and any questions feel free to contact me. Thanks for reading the Book. Ken

Also you are welcome to per-inspect the Bike if you are in the area before bidding- just contact me. However if you have no intentions of paying for the Bike or need your Mother's permission or maybe your Wife's (I have heard it all) Please do not do that since it really bothers me to even sell this machine. And No my Wife actually is pissed that I am selling it. Please ask them before Bidding. Auctions cost money and time so please be serious if you intend on purchasing this bike. I have described it to the best of my ability. I would certainly prefer you come look at it first before bidding if you are concerned. There is no test drives. It runs and rides perfect.
