Yamaha YZF-R description

Body work is off a 2000 Yamaha R6. These plastics will fit 1998-2002. The graphics patterns changed between the years. Side Upper fairings (BOTH sides) including directionals, lowers, and front fender (black) Body work was taken off my bike after only 200 miles and hung from rafters in garage. Bike has been sold with race plastics and these now need a new home. Plastics are in prestine condition. Bodywork can be boxed up and shipped if necessary. This can be discussed after final bidding and agreements can be arranged. Winning bidder will be responsible for any shipping and packaging costs that might be incurred. Japan Needs Your Help

By now, we’ve all seen pictures and video of the devastation in Japan following the March 11 earthquake and the ensuing tsunamis. Japan, of course, has contributed much to motorcycling, with the Big Four of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as tire manufacturer Bridgestone, helmet companies Arai and Shoei and many other motorcycle industry stalwarts all coming from the Land of the Rising Sun. Jon Bekefy and Greg Hatton, two motorcycle enthusiasts, industry employees  and above all, humanitarians, have set up a fundraising campaign benefiting the Red Cross for relief efforts in Japan.

Zero Announces Canadian Dealer Network

This picture of me chasing Foggy on the Daytona banking in 1991 brought back some bitter sweet memories recently. I did half a season as his team mate on the Silkolene RC30s before scurrying off to Japan to ride a factory Yamaha Superbike. I’ve never been a quitter but I felt the team that year was gear stretched running two riders so it was a case of last in first out.
