You are bidding on a 1 owner mint condition Yamaha R1. It has 7k miles and lots of extras. 300 rear tire, chrome trees, lowers, swingarm, frame, wheels and all the bolt ons. It has air ride with compression adjustment on the fly. Wheels are spinners and swingarm is 16" over. Yoshi pipes, smoke screen. Absolutely sick and rides like new, be prepared to get questions and thumbs up from everyone who passes. Few nicks on the chrome, normal wear but as you can tell in the pics its in excellent condition. Clean clear blue Texas title in hand.

Michelin Unveils New Tire for Dual Sport Motorcycles

More than half of the new BMW R 1200 GSs that roll off the assembly line in 2013 will be fitted with Michelin’s new big trail tire, the Anakee III. BMW and Michelin worked together to co-develop the dual-sport tire, which is designed to deliver all the safety and off road capability big trail motorcycle users demand. The Anakee III will also be available as a replacement option for other leading dual sport bikes, like the Suzuki V-Strom, Kawasaki KLR, Triumph Tiger and Yamaha Super Tenere.

This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.
