Yamaha YZF-R description

VERY Nice '11

You are looking at a very nice, clean-super mean R1! I am the second owner, taking it over at 2k miles. It has just over 4k miles. After market clutch and brake lever, adjustable and push forward to prevent snapping in case a fall. Custom exhaust (unsure if its a full or a slip on) and it sounds mean, not like a bumble bee, nice and throaty, tuned in with a power commander. Some factory parts around the pegs have been replaced with black to make it as black on black as possible. Has hard shell back cowl if you are riding solo. Has flush mount turn signals and a fender eliminator on the back with a rear turn signal/taillight combo.

KBB retail is 9,500.I am starting the auction way lower with NO RESERVE!!! I DO HAVE A LOAN on this so the winning bidder would have to meet me at bank to recieve the title. (local bank where I live) And I am willing (if not wanting to ride home from my location) to deliver for $50 to any location in as long as it is in Ohio. I am not requiring a deposit but must have the transaction complete within 5 days of acution end.

There is a minor scratch barely visible on the right side front ferring. Aside from that it is in excellent condition.

Any questions please ask. Text anytime 419 569 2370 or call from 7am to 3pm. if you would like more detailed pics or a pic of something I forgot, (like the odometer) i can email or text them to you no problem. I do ride it to work which is 3 miles round trip so miles will not be exact at 4,250. Not pictured also is the passenger soft seat. I do have it and it is free of scratches or belmeishes.

Thanks for looking!

HELMET MANUFACTURER X-LITE will be unveiling one of their top-of-the-range lids in a variety of colour schemes favoured by Fiat Yamaha MotoGP star Jorge Lorenzo. The X-802 is now available in the MotoGP star's black paint scheme, with the recognisable red 'X' on the crown. The back of the helmet features an 'Evolution of Lorenzo', which charts the transition of the Mallorcan from boy to worldwide phenomenon, in a Charles Darwin cartoon stylee. If that doesn't float your boat there will be more options: Lorenzo's Captain America paint scheme, seen at the Indianapolis GP, will be available by the end of the year, along with the NASA-style astronaut helmet used during Lorenzo's stunning victory at Estoril. The helmet is priced at 484 euros (£442) on the European market.I feel a phone call coming on...

Mythbusters to Compare Emissions of Cars Versus Motorcycles

Wed, 21 Sep 2011

Are motorcycles more environmentally friendly than cars? Ask most people that question and their initial response would probably be “yes” because motorcycles are more fuel efficient, and they release less CO2.  But is that the whole story? MythBusters‘ Jamie Hynerman and Adam Savage are going to find out on the Emmy-nominated show’s fall season premiere, Sept.
