2009 Yamaha Xp500yl on 2040-motos
Yamaha xp500yl tech info
Yamaha xp500yl description
I am the second owner, I bought it 2 years ago with 700 miles, it has all the factory break in inspections from the previous owner, there is no damage on the bike, it looks and drives like a new bike.
I installed a new battery last year, there is plenty of storage in rear trunk and under the seat for 6 bags of groceries. It has 2 small compartments by the front. All oil changes are done at the required intervals I always ride with my wife on the back and she says its almost as comfortable as a gold wing. The bike should not even be called a scooter, it will do 110 mph and will out accelerate most cars, and it handles just as well as a newer sportbike. What can I say it is a blast to ride, I love not ever having to shift gears. The only reason I am selling is I am moving out of the country this fall This is local pickup only |

Yamaha Gets Monster Energy MotoGP Team Sponsorship, Annuls Lorenzo’s RockStar Sponsorship Deal
Fri, 21 Dec 2012Yamaha has reportedly signed energy drink maker Monster Energy to sponsor its factory MotoGP team, according to Spanish site MotoCuatro.com. The new sponsorship deal created a bit of a problem however, as Yamaha‘s star rider Jorge Lorenzo recently signed a two-year contact extension to his personal sponsorship deal with RockStar, a rival energy drink maker. To get around this sticky situation, MotoCuatro reports Yamaha will invoke a clause in Lorenzo’s contract allowing the manufacturer to veto and buy out his RockStar contract.
