105-Year-Old Woman Rides A Harley-Davidson

Wed, 29 May 2013

When you get to be 105 years old, clearly your best years are behind you. However, that didn’t stop Ella Passmore of Richmond Hill, Georgia from trying something new and daring for the first time. To celebrate over a century of living, Passmore rode on a Harley-Davidson, as reported by www.savannahnow.com.

Ok, fine.  The centenarian was actually a passenger, and the Harley-Davidson was really an Electra Glide Trike. But still, at her age, we’re just happy she got to experience the open air and the rumble of a V-Twin. Passmore and her chauffeur were led by police escort to the Richmond Hill City Hall, where Mayor Harold Fowler greeted her and even signed her helmet. Oddly, he wrote, “Harley-Davidson.”

No matter. The most important thing is that Passmore had a good time. “I enjoyed it very much,” she said. “I’m so glad the good Lord has given me (105) years.”
