Indian Unleashes Sturgis Event Schedule

Indian’s recently introduced Roadmaster may be stealing all of the headlines, but the motorcycle company isn’t stopping there. The Indian event schedule for 74th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is packed with events designed to capture the attention of Indian owners and possibly create some new Indian owners.

As one would expect, Indian will have its entire model line available for the public to lust for and fondle at the Indian Motorcycle Display at 3rd and Lazelle. Additionally, demo rides will be available at Exit 30 of Interstate 90 in Sturgis. Noted customizer Roland Sands will be at the Buffalo Chip on Sunday August 3rd (appx 9:30–10:30 pm) to unveil a new custom bike on the stage between concerts.

Land speed fans will be excited to learn that John Munro, Son of legendary Indian Motorcycle racer Burt Munro, will attend the festivities to share with fans the “stories of his father’s travels, exploits and dedication to his beloved 1920 Indian Scouts.” Munro has endeavored to maintain his father’s legacy by creating the Munro Challenge in his home country, New Zealand. Munro will also see the Indian tribute motorcycle, “Spirit of Munro,” at the event. Additionally, Munro will also premier the ”Munro Collection of Apparel.” Meet John Munro at the following locations:

Motorcycle art lovers will want to stop by the Indian Motorcycle Display area to see Lee Bivens complete a painting portraying the introduction of the 2014 Indian Motorcycle model line. This piece, commissioned by Indian Motorcycles, will be donated to theSturgis Motorcycle Museum during the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum Hall of Fame breakfast on August 7th. Fans can meet Bivens at the Indian display at the following times:

Wednesday 8/6 3–5pm Thursday 8/7 – 9–5pm Friday 8/8 – 9–5pm
