MV Agusta Reveal WSBK Graphics

Mon, 17 Feb 2014

As MV Agusta unveiled its color scheme for the F4RR it will be campaigning in World Superbike this year, the red/silver graphic is a fitting homage to the company’s history, evoking memories of Giacomo Agostini, among others.

World Superbike testing began today at Phillip Island, site of the first race of the season. The new season also marks MV Agusta’s return as a factory team to international racing in quite some time. The factory has teamed with the experienced Russian outfit of Yakhnich Motorsports as technical partners. After spending many seasons in the World Supersport category, eventually winning the title in 2013, the team is taking a new direction by switching to MV Agustas and fielding bikes in both Supersport and Superbike.

Claudio Corti will pilot the F4RR WSBK racer this year, and if testing times are any indication, the team has plenty of work ahead of them — Corti was 14th fastest on the first day of Phillip Island testing. His time of 1:32.858 was over two seconds behind Eugene Laverty‘s 1:30.513, aboard the Voltcom Crescent Suzuki GSX-R1000.
