 Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A. was very pleased to announce the special opportunity for motorcycle enthusiasts around the world to bid on a one-of-a-kind YZF-R1 as ridden by “King” Kenny Roberts around the famed Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Circuit. This special GYTR-equipped R1 features a unique 50th anniversary Red/White paint scheme and many Genuine Yamaha custom performance accessories.

With $16,000 in mods including Body Kit, Custom Paint, carbon add ons, Brembo Brakes, GYTR Engine Mods, GYTR Exhaust, One piece Marchesini wheels, after Market rear sets and shifter, GPR steering stabilizer. It also has gas tank signatures of both the “King” Kenny Roberts as well as the infamous Jay Leno!

 The YZF-R1 has exceptional cornering ability, crisp handling, and was designed to be the "Ultimate Cornering Master" of the open super sport class. One of the keys to the R1’s incredible handling lies partly in the chassis but equally as important, in its ability to put usable power to the ground. This latest generation R1 features the world's first production motorcycle with a cross plane crankshaft. The result? An incredibly smooth power delivery and outrageous torque for a rush like you've never experienced. The cross plane crankshaft design has an uneven firing order to provide outstanding yet easy to control torque and an exceptionally linear throttle feel that commands power control

 Race inspired fairing improves both aerodynamics and style. The fairing also features a slant nose front profile for aerodynamic streamlining, with engine revealing side cut outs. The windshield features a "screw less" design for a cleaner, more trick appearance.  Extensive use of hollow bolts and lightweight fasteners we used to help trim the overall weight.  It has a slim designed rear tail section. The seating position offers a very sporty yet comfortable riding position. The adjustable footrests can be raised 15mm upward and 3mm backward if desired and are lightweight and forged for high strength.

 With its revolutionary cross-plane crank the Moto-GP inspired R1 delivers as much power as the rider wants, exactly when the rider wants it!  By a simple twist of the right wrist it will leave the rider feeling like they are directly connected to the rear wheel of this exhilarating R1.
