Tom Sykes and Loris Baz captured a pair of one-two finishes for Kawasaki at England’s Donington Park. The first race saw the reigning World Superbike champion fight his way up from 11th place for the win while Race 2 offered a three-way battle between the two Kawasaki riders and Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli. The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick. Improving the monster: Aprilia will upgrade the RSV4 Factory sportbike

The second generation of the Aprilia RSV4 sportbike will be released around 2021, but for now the company continues to upgrade this impressive motorcycle. As part of last year's modernization, the RSV4 Factory modification debuted with an engine that increased the capacity to 1078cc that can develop 217hp at 13,200 rpm and 122Nm and 11,000 rpm. Now, according to the current information, the monster will receive a semi-active Öhlins suspension and a new color scheme.
