For sale, blue 2004 BMW K1200RS. One of the best sports tourers around. Very low mileage for this bike at 35k miles, these bikes are known to do well over 200k miles when they're regularly serviced. BMW service history, mainly from Irv Seaver BMW, CA, documentation to show service history. CA registration, tags until 2017. Last service and new tires in May 2016. Lots of power when you need it, 130bhp, 150mph. Very comfortable bike, comes with anti lock brakes, cruise control, heated grips, panniers, Corbin leather seat, lots of adjustment available to suit your riding position, 2 keys. It has a couple of marks on the bike as shown in the photos but otherwise very clean and in great condition. Perfect as a day to day commuting bike or a grand tourer. Loads of life left in this bike. NHTSA Fines BMW $3 Million for Late Recall Reporting

BMW has agreed to pay civil penalties of $3 million for failing to report safety defects in a timely manner to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. By U.S. federal law, manufacturers are required to notify NHTSA of safety defects or noncompliance issues within five days of discovering the issue.

Over the past four years, the German company has nearly doubled its 500cc-plus market share from about 7% to 13%, and the 2011 model year is on pace to set a sales record of more than 103,000 motorcycles. For 2012, BMW enters the lucrative scooter segment with a pair of twin-cylinder maxi-scoots claimed to combine the agility and comfort of a scooter with the riding qualities of a motorcycle.

When I first saw this video, I thought it had to be a trick. Like the Gillette video of Roger Federer knocking a can off a man’s head with a tennis serve or the Nike ad with a couple of Dutch soccer players and an air vent, the first reaction is it has to be fake. But then I remember this is BMW stunt rider Chris Pfeiffer we’re talking about here.
