1987 BMW K-Series (1987)
I have a 1987 BMW k75s for sale, I recently purchased this as a project last fall to fix up and have as a touring bike for myself, however my priorities have changed. I purchased the bike in September of 2015 at 36k miles and it had sat for a few years. Services I did at 36k miles to make it road worthy again include, Also including OEM BMW hardbags New rear tire New Rear brake pads All new fuel lines New Breather hose New engine oil/oil filter New final Drive gear oil New Transmission Gear oil New ignition switch (they commonly fail on these bikes) New Driveshaft Clutch spline Lube New radiator fan motor Both ends of Drive shaft and final drive splines lubed The bike currently has 37,800 miles rode it to barber vintage and back without any issue. BMW Announces Recall Campaign for K1600 Family Motorcycles
Fri, 25 Feb 2022The recall concerns all 2019-2020 BMW K1600 models due to the risk of rear suspension link failure caused by a manufacturing defect - the strength of the part does not meet the factory requirements. This linkage may be destroyed during normal road use, causing the rear of the motorcycle to fall onto the rear wheel. BMW dealers this spring will begin notifying owners of motorcycles that are subject of the recall campaign to visit an authorized dealership for a rear suspension linkage replacement.
