Chopper Chopper description

Black Death 3 Motorcycle inspired by the bike ridden by Mickey Rourke's character in  Harley Davidson and Marlboro Man movie.

Custom BD3 Frame

111 S&S Motor

Delkron Transmission

Jaybrake Controls

PM Hand Controls

PM Calipers

180 Rear Tire

Chain Drive

PM Hand Controls

High Torque Starter

Custom Seat

This bike is practically unridden, with clear title and being sold due to downturn in oil industry in which I work.  The bike has mainly been ridden in town in parades, and displayed at bike shows.  It is a real head turner.

The bike started with the theme of the bike in the movie which has obtained cult status.  Since the HDMM movie is over 25 years old certain things were upgraded such as the motor, and rear tire.  The struts were chromed to dress up the look as were the Jaybrake controls.  The originals were bare metal.

The initials painted on the cards of the movie bike were those of Mickey Rourke's deceased friends and relatives.  The initials on this bikes paint have a message in the cards.  The tank is also welded in a rustic fashion as was the original tank.  The tank had clear coat sprayed over the tank.  The original is bare metal.  Turn signals have also been added to make the bike legal to ride.  In the movie this bike was meant to look like a hot rod work in progress.  This bike maintains that look with upgrades.

Due to the larger motor, and wider rear tire than the original, a chain drive was required.  This combination gives the bike amazing torque.

A new BD3 equipped similarly will sell for over $35K and delivery time could be up to a year for the custom parts necessary for the build to be made.  This bike took exactly 1 year to be built.  This bike is an amazing and has never been layed over or stuck in weather, and always garage kept.

To the winner of this bike, I will also through in a custom made set of saddlebags made to the specs of those used in the movie.  A $500 value.

Resident Evil Inspired Chopper

Mon, 07 Dec 2009

Capcom, the creator of the popular video game series “Resident Evil”, has teamed up with Savage Cycles out of Maryland, to create this zombie killer custom chopper.  The project is scheduled to be completed in January, the limited bikes to be built has no price tag at this point but I am sure it will be steep. Check out some preview shots and a list of some interesting features. From the Capcom blog: The bike is low-slung and mean, armored but fast, with quick access to a number of “weapons” and items, such as an airsoft shotgun and pistol, “health sprays” and a combat knife strapped to the front fork.

Orange County Chopper‘s Teutul will be competing in the 12th season of Donald Trump‘s show, and the fifth to feature a cast of celebrities (or pseudo-celebrities, depending on how you look at it) each competing on behalf of a chosen charity.
