2014 WSBK – Donington Results

Tom Sykes and Loris Baz captured a pair of one-two finishes for Kawasaki at England’s Donington Park. The first race saw the reigning World Superbike champion fight his way up from 11th place for the win while Race 2 offered a three-way battle between the two Kawasaki riders and Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli. So with an afternoon of sightseeing completed (a rare luxury on most launches) it's back to the hotel for the press conference. These are you usually long winded, tooth pulling affairs with Japanese technicians insisting on speaking their bestest engrish which only serves to elongate the proceedings. Nothing kills a presentation more than reading every word of a powerpoint slide verbatum, even thought the viewers can read exactly the same words (and probably a lot faster).  The Crossrunner presentation was mercifully brief and snappy followed by dinner in the hotel and a reasonably early night as everyone had already been up for twenty hours.

Ducati Riding Experience 2014 Dates Announced

The Ducati Riding Experience is set to continue in 2014, with enrollment of the 11th edition of the Italian manufacturer’s highly successful riding school already open at www.Ducati.com. Two of Ducati’s latest models, the brand new 899 Panigale Superbike and Monster 1200 will be available for students to use. The 899 Panigale will be used for Racing 1 & 2 courses, while the Intermediate course will utilize the Monster 1200.
