Up for sale we have a nice 2009 Ducati Hypermotorad 1100S Edition. We are multi-line motorcycle dealership & we acquired this motorcycle recently from a store client of ours. This motorcycle was purchased by the previous owner brand new & was serviced regularly at the local Ducati dealership over the past few years. This Ducati Hypermotard 1100S is in very excellent condition both mechanically & cosmetically. With only 2,993 miles it should bring the next owner many thousands of worry free miles out on the open road. This Hypermotard S Edition comes standard with top of the line Ohlins Suspension, Marchesini Wheels, along with carbon fiber fenders and belt cover on the engine. This Ducati comes with upgrades of a carbon fiber Termignomi Exhaust Pipe. We have all of the owners manuals, along with 3 keys, a silver key code tag, and a red code card all from Ducati. There is no damage to this motorcycle, other than a few minor scratches to the handguards that were hard to show up in pics (see images below). 2008 Ducati Hypermotard 1100 S 3406 Miles, Clear Ohio Title Purchased in August 2010, this Ducati has since primarily maintained a position in the garage due to a consistent lack of time to get out & enjoy it. The bike is in great condition, is accident free and has never been down or seen even inclement weather. The title is a clean / clear Ohio title and has no liens or obligations and is available for immediate transfer. First service was performed by the dealer at 600 miles & a subsequent oil change at 1800 miles. Largely stock, this Duc does have aftermarket grips, custom heal guards, and a matte black finish on (what was) the gold-colored section of the exhaust. The original parts, including the stock grips, the passenger pegs, and the carbon fiber exhaust shrouds are included along with their respective fastening hardware. The owner’s manuals, first & spare key, as well as the Ducati key-card are also included. Tires are in great condition & have plenty tread depth remaining. As you know, this S version of the bike has such tasteful upgrades as an Ohlins rear shock, Marchesini wheels, Brembo’s off of the 1098 and a data logging facility in the multifunctional LCD dash. There are some minor blemishes in the plastic noted in the �condition’ section and also photographed. The left flip-out mirror is not presently mounted on the bike – Previous owner had the mirrors off & the retaining nut has come up missing. Sykes’ Kawasaki teammate Loris Baz was right there with him, recording a pair of second-place podiums to give Team Green a pair of one-two finishes. Sykes and Baz were also one-two in the Superpole qualifying on this nearly flawless weekend for the Kawasaki factory team.
Colin Edwards Announces Retirement At End Of Season
Thu, 10 Apr 2014Colin Edwards has announced he will retire at the conclusion of the 2014 MotoGP season. The announcement came during the pre-event press conference ahead of this weekend’s Austin MotoGP race — Edwards’ home round. The two-time World Superbike champion cited a lack of progress from winter testing as one reason for the decision.
Massimo Tamburini: 1943 – 2014
Mon, 07 Apr 2014Massimo Tamburini, creator of some of the industry’s most iconic motorcycle designs, has succumbed to lung cancer at the age of 70. Tamburini was diagnosed with the disease last November and underwent chemotherapy treatment but passed away April 6. Earning renown for designing motorcycles such as the Ducati 916 and the MV Agusta F4, Tamburini’s name will be forever linked with those two companies, as well as Cagiva and helped found Bimota (Tamburini is the “Ta” in the company’s name.) Taking the already impressive 1199 Panigale, Ducati says the Superleggera tops 200 horses and weighs under 400 lbs. Those are astounding numbers, especially for a production motorcycle.
Son joyrides his dad's Ducati 996 SPS...And crashes!
Fri, 28 Mar 2014According to the son (who uploaded the video), his parents - including his dad who owns the 996 SPS - were away on holiday. So off he goes on his short test ride, 50 metres down the road and he's stacked it, apparently there was a small oil leak which caused him to crash. What he doesn't mention is that you can see 37 seconds in that he forgot to put the kickstand up, there's also a nice trail of kickstand-shaped evidence scratched along the road too.
