Ducati Monster description

2012 Ducati Monster 1100 EVO, We consider the Monster 1100Evo an air-cooled naked Superbike. Anyone who has ridden our demo at one of our track days will agree. This bike is surprisingly fast. And it rails in the corners. Faster around a track than most riders can go. And with ABS, traction control and adjustable suspension, the 1100Evo is the big-bore Monster we've all been waiting for. Cycle World magazine recently compared the bike to the Triumph Speed Triple and picked the Ducati winner. The big Monster has never beaten the Speed Triple in magazine comparison tests; a testiment of the 1100Evo vs the older 1100, 1000 and 900 Monsters of the past. The 2012 Monster 1100Evo is available in Ducati red with red frame and white racing stripe, or... gloss black with grey frame and metallic grey racing stripe.

Five minutes with Neil Hodgson

Wed, 14 Dec 2011

Commentating on Eurosport, demo riding at bike shows, instructing on track days and being the Ducati 848 Challenge ambassador are just a few of the jobs that keep Neil Hodgson amused these days. Last week I tripped over the 2003 World Superbike Champion in Almeria so a few personal questions had to be asked. N.M. You seem to have a permanent grin on your face these days, any particular reason?

Casey Stoner's trick kart

Thu, 19 Apr 2012

The other day Casey Stoner tweeted this shot of this factory looking kart, which the reigning champion has been customising during the MotoGP downtime between Qatar and Jerez. Stoner became hooked on karting after taking part in the ice-race at the Ducati/Ferrari Vrooom event in 2009, beating F1 driver Felipe Massa in the process. Not only a hobby, Casey uses karting for training, as the Australian says there are physical benefits as well as to his reflexes.
