Harley-Davidson Reports Q2 2014 Sales Results
Tue, 22 Jul 2014Harley-Davidson reported a net income of $354.2 million over the second quarter of 2014, thanks to a 12.4% increase in sales revenue. Actual motorcycle sales volume stayed about even, however, with unit sales increasing to just 90,218 motorcycles from 90,193 sold in the same quarter last year. Though sales were statistically the same as they were last year, Harley-Davidson generated $1.48 billion in revenue from motorcycle sales alone, up 16.2% from the $1.27 billion reported in the second quarter of 2013.

2014 Harley-Davidson Touring Models Recalled for Pinched Brake Lines
Wed, 09 Jul 2014Harley-Davidson is recalling 66,421 motorcycles because of a problem with the front brake lines getting pinched. The recall affects all ABS-equipped 2014 touring and CVO touring models including the Electra Glide Ultra Limited, Electra Glide Ultra Classic, Street Glide, Road King, CVO Limited and CVO Road King. Tue, 08 Jul 2014AMA Pro Racing has confirmed that round four of the AMA Pro Road Racing series from the FIM Superbike World Championship, Geico Motorcycle U.S. Round at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca will not be available for live broadcast on FansChoice.tv or post-race viewing. AMA Pro Racing engaged in good faith negotiations with the event’s rights holder (Dorna -TS), but, ultimately, was unable to reach an agreement in the best interest of all parties involved.
