Honda Shadow description

2006 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100, Shadow Sabre 1100 - 2006 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100, Its cast-aluminum wheels deliver 1100cc's of chrome-polished V-twin power to the asphalt. The classic Shadow Sabre is definitive proof that beauty isnt just skin deep. Start with the beefy, Fury-derived 1,312 cubic centimeter liquid-cooled, 52-degree V-twin, featuring Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) and performance as muscular as it is seamless. Smooth, maintenance-free shaft final drive merely makes it that much better. And then, of course, theres the lookshort, sporty fenders, all-black frame, and a raked-out fork that screams, You want some of this? A comfortable and sporty ride that is constantly turning heads with its classic Cruiser styling.*Garage Kept* Beauty! This bike is in Pristine condition. It has Fender bags, Forward controls, and those beautiful Factory Flames that Honda used to put on these bikes. This motorcycle in this condition will not last long at this price.

EICMA 2008: First Impressions

Mon, 03 Nov 2008

I have had a little walk around checking out the preparations for the show. I haven’t seen anything that I haven’t already seen or heard about previously, but here’s a selection from three of the halls. Yamaha are the only manufacturer to use an industrial crane to place some of its bikes up on high rise stands.

Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba

Fri, 24 Jun 2011

This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.

Pit Biking; good clean fun for all the family

Wed, 01 Feb 2012

If you haven’t tried Pit Biking yet, you’re missing out on some incredible fun, and it won’t break the bank. The majority of pit bikes are of Chinese origin and I guess, are best described as modern day monkey bikes. Yes Chinese, and I’ve witnessed them being thrashed round all day long without missing a beat, so Jonny Wong and co. are finally getting there on quality and reliability!  Although Pit Bikes are designed for off road use, an extra few hundred quid spent on matching up wheels, fitting tarmac tyres and some crash protection will mean you’re track ready for a total of around £600.
