IT HAS A CLEAR MARYLAND TITLE, AND IS READY TO RIDE AND ENJOY. MY FIANCE GAVE THIS TO ME AS A GIFT, HOWEVER I NEVER PUT IT ON THE ROAD AS PLANNED DUE TO A IRREVERSIBLE SPINE INJURY FROM A FALL ON THE ICE DURING THE WINTER WHILE WORKING. THE BIKE WAS NEVER RIDEN, NOR TAGGED, AND HAS REMAINED IN CLIMATE CONTROLLED STORAGE. WE HAVE FINALLY DECIDED TO LET THIS GO TO SOMEBODY WHO CAN TRUELY TAKE CARE OF AND APPRECIATE IT. THE SPECS OF THE MOTORCYCLE ARE LISTED BELOW. PLEASE EMAIL WITH ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE, THANK YOU.

Honda’s V-4 History

Tue, 06 Oct 2009

As Honda prepares its new VFR1200 for its official unveiling, the red-wing company has set up a website detailing its long involvement in V-4 engines. It began back in 1979 with the introduction of the NR500 grand prix racebike. Rather than fielding a 500cc two-stroke engine, Honda used a four-stroke oval-piston V-4 motor – essentially a V-8 with four cylinders that could be revved to 19,500 rpm!

475cc NS400R. Marquez and Spencer.

Winter may be here but I seem to be as busier than ever, maybe the economy is finally turning around. At my last UK track day of the year I had some fun testing this little beauty.  It’s a late eighties NS400 triple bored out to 475cc and it felt sweet as I zinged round the GP Arena track at Silverstone.   Being stripped bare to reduce weight gives it a very respectable power to weight ratio which means it could live with 600s (on the twisty bits at least).

2011 Isle of Man TT Recap

Fri, 10 Jun 2011

The Isle of Man TT usually provides a lot of drama, and this year’s event was no different. John McGuinness, second on the all-time TT wins list, added two more wins to his resume to win the Joey Dunlop Trophy while MotoCzysz once again fell just short of taking the bounty for being the first electric motorcycle team to record a 100 mph lap on the Mountain Course. The 2011 Isle of Man TT also had its share of tragedy with three racing fatalities.
