KTM Adventure description

This is an amazing bike for both off road and on road use. It has tons of torque helping you stay upright offroad on the technical parts and plenty for passing on road. All ready adventure tested with travels in the southern US, California, Alaska, Canada and others, this bike is ready. Always garage stored when not on an adventure. Low miles and meticulous maintenance.

All maintenance has been performed as scheduled in the manual or sooner.
  • Valves checked and in spec
  • Oil changed regularly with recommended oil - Motorex Fully Synthetic
  • Bike inspected this year with clutch, basket, clutch cover, etc all being replaced by Ace Motorsports. The CJ Designs clear clutch cover was used to allow for clutch bolt inspection without clutch cover removal.

KTM Announces 2013 Factory Team, Bids Farewell to Cyril Despres

(ED: Updated with a message from Cyril Despres.) KTM introduced its 2013 Rally Racing team while bidding farewell to five-time Dakar Rally winner Cyril Despres. Despres won all five of his Dakar victories with KTM, winning in 2005, 2007, 2010, 2012 and 2013. He leaves the team to pursue a new challenge, with Honda rumored to be seeking his services for its newly-revived rally racing program.

2013 AMA Supercross Houston Race Report

Ryan Villopoto captured his fifth-consecutive AMA Supercross win and sixth in seven rounds with a victory in the main event at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider passed holeshot-taker Mike Alessi on the opening lap and led the rest of the way for the win. Alessi, riding the Motoconcepts Racing Suzuki RM-Z450, remained in the hunt for the first few laps but soon gave way to a group including Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Trey Canard, Red Bull KTM‘s Ryan Dungey and Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart.

2013 US Motorcycle Sales Data

The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) reported a modest 1.4% growth in U.S. motorcycle and scooter sales in 2013, with consumers purchasing 465,783 vehicles. The sales data represents numbers from the MIC’s member brands which include BMW, Can-Am, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, the Piaggio Group (which includes Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa), Victory, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha.
