Triumph Bonneville description

This is a magnificent condition 2005 Triumph Bonneville America with about 1500 ACTUAL Miles.  865 cc (Called 900 by Triumph) engine runs perfect.  It was well maintained, ridden often for short rides to keep from sitting tool long.   Fuel tank is clean inside and no carburetor issues.  I was told that the carbs had been went through some time in last 2 years.  The motorcycle was originally bought by a collector in Arizona who rode it occasionally, but not many miles.  This motorcycle has no electrical or mechanical problems or repairs needed.  It is ready for long rides.  Then in 2013 it was bought by a British-American person (makes sense), who lived in California.  Unfortunately, this bike does not have California Emissions.  Most motorcycles do not have California emissions, which meant he could not register and ride it.  He did some short rides, but no long trips.  I have checked the function of all systems.  The clutch and brakes feel like new, PERFECT.  The engine runs PERFECT.  It charges the battery, and the battery is very strong.  The bike starts right up with no choke, but warms up best with a little choke, but not much needed.  The motorcycle is all stock.  This motorcycle has never been wrecked or dropped.  There are 2 cosmetic defects.  There are 2 minor scratches (only into clear coat) on the tank, where a tag bag would be placed.  It is very thin and shallow.  It is not into the metal, and not through the paint.  It may buff out completely as I think it is just in clear coat.  There are 2 minor scratches on front edge of front fender.  The fender still looks great.  I had considered a chrome accent piece (common) to cover the front edge of the fender, but the scratch didn't bother me.   This motorcycle was bought form my wife due to lower seat heigh, weight, and reasonable reach to the bars.  Unfortunately, she feels it is a bit too heavy and the forward controls are more forward than she is used to.   ALSO INCLUDED - Brand new Original Triumph Chrome Engine Guard (Crash bars).  It is new in the box and not installed.  I will change oil & filter before it goes out.  No blemishes other than stated.  Please ask any questions, and assume condition is exactly as how I described it.  NOTE --->>>  I have added a picture of the top of the tank, attempting to show the very fine mark/scratch, but you can barely see the scratch in the picture.  In the reflection of me taking the picture, you will see a tiny light line going horizontally right by my left hand's pinky.  I think that is it.  It is very hard to see.

The 2011 Speed Triple is Triumph's latest overhaul of this iconic bike. It has a new frame, new suspension, new swingarm, wheels, bodywork, tank, new clocks, new headlights, in fact pretty much everything is new, everything except the engine that is! Many look at a bike's engine as its heart and soul.
