    This is a 1987 rm250 "slingshot" I bought this thing as a project to rebuild and keep as a spare, The entire bike has been restored, every nut bolt,bushing and bearing has been replaced. the engine has an oem suzuki piston with stock bore, new reeds, brand new carb that has been properly jetted for this bike.i had custom aluminum radiators made for it, brand new chain and sprocket, brand new seat cover and foam, brand new brakes, the entire rebuild has 2 rides on it totally about 8 hours. it was only ridden by me to shake it down for any issues.

This 11 digit VIN number was not compatible with the DMV system in Oregon (where the bike is currently registered and street legal) so they assigned it a special new VIN number - OR81640 go figure. Please also note that this bike was registered, plated, and street legal in California under its original 11 digit VIN prior to it going to Oregon.

     Great bike  2 stroke.  Im not exactly sure of year.  Im guessing 2000 or 2001.  Almost flawless.  starts every time.  sounds great.  fast!!  im 2nd owner.   havent had long, bought to get my kids involved, but they dont have any interest.  Check out pictures.  Only flaw I can tell on bike is handle bar is a tiny bit crooked.  somebody is going to get a great bike in great shape.

Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes extended his championship lead while a Race Two collision between Aprilia teammates Sylvain Guintoli and Marco Melandri provided drama in the World Superbike Championship round at Portugal’s Portimao track. Sykes qualified on the pole in a sun-draped Superpole session but the clouds rolled in on race day, forcing teams to plan for mixed weather. An overcast sky presided over a dry Race One, leading to a mix of tire choices but all of the racers switched to wet tires for Race Two that saw the scheduled 20-lap length reduced to 18 laps.

Virginia Tech Bolt To Race At NJMP, July 12-13

The Virginia Tech Bolt e-bike racing team will compete in the July 12-13 zero emissions road race at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville NJ. This race is part of the eMotoRacing series, which runs in conjunction with AHRMA. The 96 volt student-built prototype racebike will compete in the eSuperSport class against a field of production based Brammo Empulses. The Bolt Team is no stranger to competition, as it has previous experience racing in the TTXGP series in 2012.

Former 500cc World Champion Kevin Schwantz recently visited Japan to take part in the official test for the 2014 Coca-Cola Zero Suzuka 8-Hours. Schwantz, who last year finished third at Suzuka riding for Team Kagayama, is part of the Yoshimura Suzuki Shell Advance Legend Racing Team and will ride alongside his 1986 Suzuka 8-Hour partner Satoshi Tsujimoto and Suzuki Moto GP test rider Nobuatsu Aoki. AMA Supercross and Motocross racer James Stewart has been provisionally suspended by the International Motorcycling Federation after a drug sample tested positive for amphetamines. The positive test was from the April 12 AMA Supercross round in Seattle. The three podium finishes in the 450 class in Seattle were tested.
