This Goldwing was built in the 70's by Malott's Honda in Manteca California,Malott's built custom Goldwings & sold their own line of accessories called MCA.I believe this bike was the first or one of the first that they built to showcase their products in print ads & at motorcycle shows.It has all of the accessories offered in their catalog including the Lester mag wheels.The paint job on the bike is in amazing condition for being over 40 years old,there are some small chips here & there but it shows very well,it is all done with airbrush & is hand pinstriped there are no stickers on this bike.It has 52000mi on it & was in storage with a cover over it since 1997.I got it through a friend who had seen it in the warehouse & knew I was looking for an older Goldwing to hook up to a sidecar that I have,the bike belonged to the father of the owner of the warehouse & when he got too old to ride he parked it, & there it sat for 19 years.When the bike was put in storage the fuel was drained & the brake fluid was drained from the brake systems,I bought a new battery,changed the oil,added fresh gas & she fired right up.The brakes will need to be gone through & are not operational,the bike runs well but should be serviced before riding it.Has original toolkit,owners manual & kick starter.You will most assuredly be a hit anywhere you go on this bike,it is a time capsule from the 70's.the only reason i'm selling is I got an estimate to paint the sidecar to match the bike & almost had a heart attack.2016-06-15 04:47:34Gardnerville, Nevada, United States5031000 -

It has electric start or kick start. Engine is free and does turn over with the kick option but the kick lever is missing. Electric starter works fine when powered up. Exhaust, and chrome in pretty good to excellent shape as the bike has been stored indoors. 1976 Honda Gold Wing 1000 - Unrestored - 5,686 Miles Up for sale is my cherished second year 1976 Goldwing. I searched for over 5 years to find this first generation Goldwing. I purchased it from the second owner out of Seattle in June, 2011 with just 5,025 original miles. The original tires were still on the bike but have since been changed. I saved these original tires to authenticate the mileage and they will be given to the new owner if desired. I am in my early 60's and it's time to part with this beautiful machine from my collection of vintage Japanese motorcycles. I have recently had the carburetors professionally cleaned and rebuilt. All new carb kits were installed along with new fuel lines and the correct OEM fuel filter. The battery is new and the light switch / kill switch was also replaced. New Avon Road Rider tires were installed in August, 2011 and they have just 600 miles on them. These tires do show some side wall checking but I think they are safe to ride and have many miles left. Everything functions properly on the bike with the exception of the neutral light indicator. It works brightly in neutral but also illuminates at a lesser brightness in the other gears. Turn signals, brake light, horn, high and low beam headlights, indicator lights and instruments all work. Even the annoying turn signal beeper works but can be easily disconnected if desired. In the 2 1/2 years that I have owned the bike, I have ridden it an enjoyable 661 miles. This is a complete low mileage genuine barn (basement) find. Last time it was on the road was 2001. Have clean title from 1997 and mileage was 34,426 when purchased then. Mileage is assumed original according to previous owner. Engine starts and runs. Has a fresh battery. I used my carb sync fuel tank and fresh fuel and it started right up. Carbs leak at the fuel bowels from dried out gaskets. Tank on bike was stored full and is in good condition. Overall condition of the bike is fair to good. I only sprayed off the dust from sitting in a basement for the last 16 years. Chrome is decent on most parts. Front wheel is good. Rear wheel has rust on all the spokes, but rim is good. Exhaust is in good condition with no rot and quiet original baffles. Vetter Windjammer fairing is complete with working radio and is in good condition. Windshield has small stress cracks at all the mounting screws, but is in usable condition as is. Luggage is generic and has all the keys. Seat has some minor tears. This is a good parts bike or restore. It is complete except the mirrors are missing. Brake calipers will need freed up. I have them disconnected to move it. Back in March, we broke the story of a design patent for a new small-displacement naked Honda based on its CBR300R/CBR250R platform. CARB has certified a new model called the 2015 Honda CB300F along with the CBR300R and its ABS-equipped variant.
45,367 Motorcycle Thefts Reported in US in 2013
Tue, 10 Jun 2014Americans reported 45,367 stolen motorcycles in 2013, down 1.5% from 2012, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau‘s latest Motorcycle Theft and Recovery Report. According to the NICB motorcycle thefts have been on the decline every year since 2007 when 65,678 motorcycles were reported stolen, though the overall trend appears to be leveling off. Japanese motorcycles continue to be the most popular target for thieves.

Mon, 09 Jun 2014The first ever World Superbike round in Malaysia offered a plenty of drama including both factory Kawasaki riders crashing out on the first lap, a red flagged second race and an overall impressive outing by Aprilia. Under pressure for his lack of results so far this season, Marco Melandri impressed, earning the double for his first career wins on the RSV4 Factory. Aprilia riders led every lap in both races at Sepang, including the red-flagged initial start for Race 2, with Sylvain Guintoli joining his teammate on the podium with a pair of second-place finishes.

Ronax isn’t saying it’s a street-legal replica of the Honda NSR500 that Valentino Rossi rode to win the 2001 Grand Prix world championship – probably because they legally can’t – but that’s essentially what the 500 is. The New Fastest Electric Motorcycle Lap, With John McGuinness + Video
Fri, 06 Jun 2014Earlier this week, John McGuinness won the single-lap TT Zero electric motorcycle race at the Isle of Man TT aboard his Mugen Shinden San. In the process, the 21-time TT winner smashed the old lap record of 109.675 mph, setting an average speed of 117.366 mph from a standing start. To put that in perspective, McGuinness’ teammate, Bruce Anstey, aboard a sister Mugen, set the outright lap record earlier this week aboard his Honda CBR1000RR superbike of over 132 mph.
Isle of Man TT 2014: PokerStars Senior TT Results
Fri, 06 Jun 2014Michael Dunlop won his fourth race of the 2014 Isle of Man TT and 11th in his career, capping off this year’s event by taking the PokerStars Senior TT. It is the second-consecutive year that Dunlop has won four races in a single TT, this time capturing the Senior, Superbike, Superstock, and the second Supersport TT races. It took a while for Dunlop to get going.

Thu, 05 Jun 2014Dave Molyneux won his 17th career TT as he and passenger Patrick Farrance took the second Sidecar race of the 2014 Isle of Man TT. Molyneux is the career leader in Sidecar TT wins and third overall in total Isle of Man TT victories behind Joey Dunlop and John McGuinness. Molyneux and Farrance won the race by a good 44-second margin but they benefited greatly from a mechanical problem plaguing early race leaders John Holden and Andrew Winkle.
Isle of Man TT 2014: Monster Supersport TT 2 Results
Wed, 04 Jun 2014Michael Dunlop led from start to finish to win the second Supersport TT race, giving him 10 TT victories in his career, tying him with the likes of Giacomo Agostini. Dunlop also joins sidecar racer Robert Fisher, Ian Lougher and Stanley Woods with 10 wins apiece, all tied for seventh overall on the all-time wins list. Riding his MD Racing Honda CBR600RR, Dunlop got off to a strong start, recording a time of 17:55.817 on the opening lap, giving him a 4.6-second advantage over fellow Honda rider Bruce Anstey.
Isle of Man TT 2014: RL360 Superstock TT Results
Tue, 03 Jun 2014Michael Dunlop won his second race in the 2014 Isle of Man TT and ninth in his career, taking the RL360 Superstock TT on a BMW S1000RR. Dunlop also won the Superbike TT earlier, giving BMW its first two wins on the Isle of Man since 1939. Meanwhile, Supersport TT 1 winner Gary Johnson was injured in a crash on the opening lap while running second behind Dunlop.
