BEAUTIFUL Black 2008 K1200S BMW NO RESERVE NO DETRACTIONS MANY UPGRADES "Wilbers Racing Suspension" shocks (rear is easily externally adjustable by knob as shown in pics) these remote reservoir high end shocks are a big upgrade to the overall feel of this bike and is rare but nice to see the money being spent on the right things here. Suspension upgrades were close to $2k! I am the 2nd owner, I bought it 3 years ago from an employee at Gina’s BMW. Previous owner and I both adults with plenty of riding experience. Bike is in very good condition, and has never been dropped or laid down. It is always garage kept, on front and rear stands, and a battery tender. This bike is great for long trips, even 2-up with luggage, or short and aggressive riding on twisty roads. It has factory keyed (same as ignition) BMW expandable hard saddle bags, as well as the extra BMW factory rear luggage rack. This bike is EXTREMELY fast, and is not a bike for beginners; 1,157cc (dry sump), 150+ hp, 6 sp, shaft-drive. I have added a waterproof USB port, Remus Powercone exhaust, and K&N air filters. Up for sale we have a nice 2008 BMW K1200S. We are a BMW motorcycle dealership & we acquired this motorcycle recently from a store client of ours. This BMW sport touring motorcycle is in very good condition both mechanically & cosmetically. With only 12,551 miles this BMW K1200S will bring the next owner many thousands of worry free miles out on the open road. This motorcycle has the BMW options of Heated grips, ABS Brakes, On Board Computer, Luggage Rack, and Additional Accessory Outlet added to the dash. This motorcycle does have some scratches on the left side fairing from a driveway tip over, not while riding at speed (see close-up images below). There is a rip to the left hand grip (see image below also) and a few minor scratches on left mirror & clutch lever that are not visible in images (we tried shooting these scratches but they will not show in pics). 2014 BMW R nineT Production Begins
Tue, 03 Dec 2013The first production models of the BMW R nineT roadster have rolled off the assembly line in Berlin. The R nineT is a special model for BMW, representing the company’s 90 years in the motorcycle industry, so it’s no surprise the start of production was made with much fanfare. BMW invited 100 guests including the team from German customization studio Urban Motor to watch assembly of the first three units of the R nineT including the final dynamometer testing where more than 1,000 different parameters are measured before a motorcycle can be released.
BMW Begins Motorcycle Production in Thailand
Thu, 28 Nov 2013BMW has opened a new motorcycle assembly line at the company’s factory in Thailand. The facility will initially only produce F800R roadsters from complete knock-down kits for the Thai market, though BMW plans to eventually make the facility a production hub for other Asian markets. The Thai facility is BMW’s first wholly-owned motorcycle assembly plant outside of Germany, though the company does share facilities in Manaus, Brazil with local manufacturer DAFRA Motos.
46,061 Motorcycles Stolen in US in 2012
Mon, 25 Nov 2013An average of 126 motorcycles were stolen in the U.S. every day in 2012, according to a report released by the the National Insurance Crime Bureau. That’s from a total of 46,061 motorcycles reported stolen that year a 1.3% improvement from the 46,667 motorcycles reported stolen in 2011.

Covering virtually every category of sport-touring motorcycle, the Pilot Road 4 line is well suited for motorcycles over 600cc. They were designed to deliver maximum safety in the most common conditions of use, especially on wet roads and in particular when braking. In its press release Michelin also claims extended tire life, which we assume is in comparison to the Pilot Road 3.

Mon, 11 Nov 2013Valentino Rossi has parted ways with longtime crew chief Jeremey Burgess, ending a partnership that extended across 14 years and three different manufacturers while capturing seven MotoGP and 500cc Grand Prix World Championships. Burgess will be replaced by Louis CK lookalike Silvano Galbusera, a veteran crew chief and mechanic whose most extensive experience comes from World Superbike and Supersport racing. As crew chief and/or technical director, Galbusera has worked with an impressive roster of riders including Troy Corser, Noriyuki Haga, Cal Crutchlow and Ben Spies.
