1981 Honda Hawk CB400T Cafe Racer (1981)
I am selling a 1981 Honda Hawk with roughly 8800 miles on it, The bike is a very unique and one of a kind. Many of the features include; custom rear seat section with a custom upholstered seat pan, All brackets on frame have been shaved and the electronics have been relocated to under the seat, the battery has been replaced with a gel battery so it could be mounted on the side, It has custom rear sets, new grips, handlebars, sprocket, tires, turn signals, spark plugs, air filters, oil, breather filters, both carbs have been cleaned and all jets replaced, all new fuel lines, new mufflers, both headers have been fiberglass wrapped, new brake master cylinder reservoir and rebuild kit, new clutch and brake levers, new mirrors on handle bars, it also has the tail light and license plate relocated to the side of the swing arm, new headlight brackets and both side case gaskets replaced. The wheels on the back have been freshly painted with lip hand polished. The main color of the bike is a white pearl with a black metallic stripe. The frame , wheels and miscellaneous brackets are painted in black metallic also. Both side cases on the engine and the top cam cover has been taken off and hand polished. The bike is very clean and well maintained. The bike was also featured in the April issue of (VJMC) Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club, it had a 3 page article in the magazine explaining the build. For sale is my Honda 919 Original adult (somewhere over 60) owner...no wheelies, no redlining. Has the only two Hondaline accessories available at the time...wind screen and center stand. Added LSL sliders, otherwise, unit is bone stock. Has been one of my two daily drivers to work and has really never had a tough day and most of the miles are expressway 6th gear type of miles. That being said it has been Honda appliance like dependable. Has not required anything other than routine maintenance. Speaking of routine maintenance...had the 16K service done at 19700. Okay it was a bit late, but what that gets you is new tires, top end valve check ( they were right on the money and did not require any work), oil, oil filter, 4 spark plugs, air cleaner, flush and fill coolant, and flush and fill brake fluid. Basically over $1000 in parts and labor back on May 15th. This 919 is ready to go. NO RESERVE. Forgot to take a picture of it, but there is also a tank bag that will go along with the bike. Being a work vehicle I have required it to be in top mechanical form and generally the bike looks okay. I strap a lunch bag on the back and unfortunately I managed to get some scrapes on the rear cowl under the tie downs. Had a couple of bungee straps lose their protective rubber end and didn't realize it until I managed to make the marks. Then there are the exhaust pipes. Right where they pick up everything from the road and heat it to stay. Have tried to clean them over the years, but they look the way most of these pipes look after a few years. I live a bit north of Cincinnati, Ohio and would be willing to meet or deliver the bike within a reasonable area, say 50 miles or so, after payment. For sale is one 1972 Honda CL350 Cafe Racer. To be honest there is not much CL left on this bike, and it more closely resembles a CB. The front forks and wheel were replaced with those of a 1976 Honda CB360, which provides a hydraulic front disk brake instead of the stock cable operated drum. The engine is from a 1973 (I believe) CB350, but I have the original crank case included with the sale in case you would like to go back to matching numbers some time down the road. The Italian division of Honda has comprehensively modified the CRF1000L, giving it the dashing style of an experimental vehicle along the way. There is a pretty good attempt to endow the motorcycle with the features of a Dakar monster.

The Japanese proposed a warning system about the danger that lies in wait for the driver in the blind zone. Honda engineers have proposed equipping the motorcycle with cameras and radars that will detect dangerous proximity to another vehicle or pedestrian and warn the driver through light indication or tactile feedback.
Honda is recalling over 20,000 Shadows in the US

The reason was the vibration from the engine, which over time leads to chafing of the fall sensor wire in the common harness.
