1970 YAMAHA 360 ENDURO RT1 in beautiful condition. 1,145 miles, matching numbers on frame, engine, and federal label. I bought this motorcycle about two years ago from another collector, it has only been used for shows during the past several decades. Paint on the tank, fenders, and other parts is super clean, no dents, scratches, rust or damage. All chrome is beautifully shiny, all rubber parts are soft and supple. Original Autolube oil injection system remains fully functional, no premixing needed. Exhaust pipe is solid, no rust, leaks or holes, the baffle is installed, and the chrome heat shield is excellent. Chain and sprockets are clean, rust free, and in excellent condition. Seat vinyl is soft and has no cracks, holes, or damage; seat foam is solid, seat pan is solid with no rust, cracks, or damage. Lights, horn, and both gauges all work properly. All levers, handles, and cables move smoothly. Both tires and tubes were recently replaced and remain brand new. Bike has always been stored dry of fuel, gas only added on the two occasions (including today) that I have started and operated the motorcycle. I have put less than a mile on it in total since I acquired it. It starts very easily, goes through all gears up and down, and the brakes are smooth. It likely will need some tuning or adjustment as today the idle rpm was quite high until the little bit of gas that I had put in ran out. I have the clear California title in my name, and the bike is currently registered and plated. Also included are: 2 original Yamaha keys RT1 Owner's manual RT1 Service manual Original advertisement of this model from 1970 Cycle magazine from April 1970 with road test of this model. The bike is located in the Los Angeles area and can easily be viewed anytime prior to auction end. Shipping and delivery will be the sole responsibility of buyer, I can assist in loading it into a transport vehicle, or possibly can deliver it to a local Los Angeles or Long Beach shipping terminal. Sold as-is, without warranty whatsoever expressed or implied. This is a 46 year old used motorcycle and will have some minor wear, flaws, blemishes and imperfections, yet overall an outstanding example of the first generation Enduro in MUCH better condition than commonly available.

The bike has been gone through completely. Everything works as it should. We took it down to the frame. Just about every part was either sandblasted or prepped with a wire wheel before being primed and repainted. We lowered the ride height by lowering the front shocks and replacing the rear shock – it’s a simple swap with no cutting of the frame - lowers the ride height by about 2.5 inches. Can be restored to original ride height very easily. Currently has 4311 miles - may go up a few miles. 1989 Yamaha FZR 600 Low Mileage NO RESERVE You Bid - You Buy Up for sale is my 1989 Yamaha FZR 600. The bike is absolutely a beautiful example of an '89 FZR 600. I had the same bike 27 years ago! It runs great and has very few flaws. There is a stress crack in the right lower fairing (see pic) and one broken tab on the very bottom. There are some very light scratches and imperfections on the bike. It runs, shifts, and stops like it should. Fresh oil, fresh battery, and new tires. The Fox shock is the only thing that appears to not be stock. The bike is 27 years old and not perfect, but it sure is a beauty! In 2011, this bike was voted one of the top 50 best motorcycles of all time. (see link to article below).

The bike has always been stored indoors and is in impeccable condition. As you can see from the photos, the bike is like new and is in no way ‘tidied up’ for sale. There is no rust, dents or other damage hidden. All decals, paint and seat are in perfect condition. The bike starts on the first kick (once you get the hang of starting an SR) and runs like a top. New tires, new MotoBatt sealed battery and the rubber seal on the gas tank is the only work I have done after purchasing the bike from a friend last year. More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. Rainier.

NHTSA Launches Recall Look-up by VIN Tool

The U.S. Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have launched a new free online tool that should make it easier for consumers to inspect their vehicles’ safety recall histories. The new search tool, available at http://www.safercar.gov/vinlookup, allows people to look for recall campaigns by entering Vehicle Identification Numbers.

Yamaha Patents Tricity Variant Design

Yamaha has patented the design for a new variant to its Tricity leaning three-wheeled scooter featuring a broader fairing resembling the TMax. Yamaha has previously announced it would introduce more leaning multi-wheeled vehicles, and this newly patented design may be the next one to go into production. Yamaha Trademarks Design for Three-Cylinder Sport-Tourer

Yamaha has registered a trademark for the design of a sport-touring model based on the FZ-09. Filed with European Union’s Office for Harminization in the Internal Market, the trademarked design reveals a brand new model sharing the same frame and engine as the FZ-09 (known in Europe as the MT-09.) Discuss this at our Yamaha FZ-09 Forum. The new model will likely be compete against motorcycles such as the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 and a rumored S1000RR-based model from BMW.

Lorenzo Signs Two-Year Extension with Yamaha

Two-time MotoGP Champion Jorge Lorenzo has signed a contract extension with Yamaha to see him race on the company’s factory team through the 2016 season. The signing comes as no real surprise, following similar two-year contract extensions for teammate Valentino Rossi and Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa. Ducati also confirmed it would field Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone next season, so unless Lorenzo wanted to spend a season or two developing Suzuki‘s or Aprilia‘s new prototypes, Lorenzo’s only option for a factory ride was to re-sign with Yamaha.

Stefan Bradl Signs with NGM Forward for 2015 MotoGP Season

NGM Forward Racing has signed Stefan Bradl to race in the 2015 MotoGP season. Bradl will ride the Forward Yamaha Open class machine next season after spending his entire premier-class career with the LCR Honda team riding the RC213V. “It’s with great pleasure that we welcome Stefan Bradl in our team,” says Giovanni Cuzari, Forward Racing team owner.

Our friends at the Yamaha Champions Riding School have been busy lately. Since moving to New Jersey Motorsports park in April, traffic has steadily risen, with June being sold out and July not far behind. August is very promising with some new ideas (one-day clinics to bring a more economical program to a larger group of riders) being inserted into the mix as well as a normal two-day school at the end of the month, which is already 80% full thanks to the yearly visit from the engineering department of Harley Davidson. Following August YCRS will have two schools the week directly after the AMA Pro races at NJMP.

While Colin Edwards may no longer be a factory Yamaha racer these days, he still enjoys a close bond with the tuning fork brand. So much so that Yamaha has announced a unique opportunity to bid on a historic set of road racing leathers, boots, gloves, and helmet as worn by Edwards during this, his final season in MotoGP. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Feed the Children, which is Yamaha Motor Corporation’s official corporate charity.
